  • Bread

    • 1Sprinkle yeast over lukewarm water and let sit 5min. Add egg, honey, salt and stir until combined, put in stand mixer bowl. Add flour, mix with dough hook for ~10-15min.
    • 2Finish kneading in well floured surface, shape the dough into a ball and put it in a container, cover with plastic wrap. Leave it in a warm place to rise until double in size, 1hr-1.5hr.
  • Filling

    • 1Peel and cut purple sweet potato in 1-in slices and steam for 15min or until soft. Mash it with potato masher, mix in condensed milk, coconut milk and honey.
  • Shape

    • 1Partition the dough into 10 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, roll it out into an oval. Put a piece of sweet potato filling and seal the dough.

    • 2Roll out the dough into an oval, cut parallel slits using a knife or pizza cutter. Roll it up diagonally into a log, then shape it into a ring.

    • 4Cover the buns and let sit in a warm place for 30-40min.
  • Bake

    • 1Brush with egg wash and bake in a 400 degrees oven for 15min.
