Instructions

  • Crust

    • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
    • 2Combine flour and salt. Cut in cold butter, mixture should look like wet sand.
    • 3Beat egg yolk and cold water together. Slowly mix into flour mixture till you have a ragged dough.
    • 4Gently knead (minimally) just until you have a solid ball of dough.
    • 5Press into disc and roll out. Place in pie pan and crimp edge.
  • Filling

    • 1Combine eggs, cream and milk, beat throughly.
    • 2Place cheese inside pie crust.
    • 3Spread green chilies on top.
    • 4Pour egg mixture over top of cheese mixture and gently stir. Careful to not catch crust.

    • 5Place on the middle rack in preheated oven and bake for 35-45 mins. Quiche should be golden brown and have puffed up.
    • 6Cool, till quiche deflates and serve.
